On September 16, 2015, Korean Corner Green Project (now UNGP for SDGs) proudly launched a charity bazaar themed “Care about Alzheimer’s disease, start from us,” aimed at raising awareness and support for Alzheimer’s disease in collaboration with the Charles K. Kao Foundation for Alzheimer’s Disease.
We were deeply honored to have Mrs KAO Wong May Wan Gwen, Chairman, and Mr. Wilfred Leung, General Manager of the Charles K. Kao Foundation, visit our Kowloon Bay showroom and lead the launching ceremony. The event brought together over 20 local entrepreneurs and friends, creating a platform for meaningful discussions. Mrs. Kao shared her insights into Alzheimer’s disease and her personal experiences caring for her husband, Dr. Charles K. Kao, the Nobel Prize-winning “Father of Fibre Optics.” Her stories offered invaluable guidance to caregivers and families affected by the disease.

Kao and Mrs. Gwen Kao, the Foundation provides essential support to Alzheimer’s patients, their families, and caregivers. Through this collaboration, Korean Corner was proud to support the Foundation’s efforts and contribute to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease within the community.
