Dr. Hanane Becha

With over 20 years of experience in Research & Development and Innovation across international settings in both the public and private sectors, Dr. Hanane Becha holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Ottawa, Canada. Trilingual in Arabic, English, and French, She brings a global perspective to complex digital transformation initiatives.

Currently, Sheis focused on advancing standardization for trade facilitation digitalization, working in close collaboration with intergovernmental organizations, non-profits, and global standardization bodies.

 

As Vice Chair of the UN/CEFACT Transport & Logistics Bureau under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), she plays a key role in shaping the future of international trade. Her work extends to participation with the European Commission DG-MOVE, World Customs Organization (WCO), International Maritime Organization (IMO), World Trade Organization (WTO), UNCTAD, ICC, GS1, and various ISO technical committees including TC8, TC104, TC154, and TC204.

 

Known for an innovative mindset, she excels in solving complex problems by integrating technical expertise with business intelligence, strategic development, and negotiation skills.
