With over 17 years of solid experience in Brand Marketing and Communications in the property and hospitality industry, Virginia’s last prominent role was as Brand and Field Marketing Communications Director, Asia Pacific, for one of North America’s most renowned hotel chains, Hyatt Hotels International. She successfully led brand, marketing, and communications efforts for over 30 opening and operating hotels in the region. Through her leadership, each property achieved rapid ramp-ups within six to twelve months, moving from breakeven to profitable growth. Virginia also played a key role in immersing North American brands into the Asia Pacific market, demonstrating that understanding stakeholder needs and presenting ideas that resonate on an emotional level is critical. She believes the true value of marketing lies in its ability to care for and support people’s visions and needs.

 

Following the impact of the pandemic, Virginia shifted her focus towards individual well-being and global sustainability. In addition to becoming a TQUK-qualified nutritionist, she joined the UN General Protocol for SDGs (UNGP) as a Marketing Communications Specialist. In this role, she supports and promotes the 2030 Agenda by advocating for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations. Her mission is to empower businesses and communities to commit to these goals through official evaluation, expert guidance, and education. Ultimately, Virginia aims to use her professional skills and experience to improve the planet, enhance the quality of human life, and create a better world.
